well an M3 is an inline six, so yes it does include inline sixes.

The people writing these laws don't seem to understand much about the technical aspects of cars in general.

does the M5 come in a CSL? or will it come in any other factory modified variety like the M3s?

The M5 doesn't lend itself to a CSL variant like the M3. The car's more of a quick luxury GT than an all-out racer (even though the CSL has useless features on a track car like air con and rear seats).

M has never made an M7 because they felt they couldn't balance the goals of keeping it as a luxo barge limo (which is the purpose of the 7 series) while making it a good sports car (which all M cars are meant to be).

With that kind of mentality, I don't think they'll make an M5 CSL.

that has to be the most unintelligent sentence i've ever seen! hahahaha

in my experience, the M3 CSL wasn't that much quicker than a 'normal' M3.. yes it was quicker, but for the extra $$ to get it, dunno if its really worthwhile.. if it had a cage and no back seats (like porsche/lotus/ferrari/etc do for their motorsport specials), then maybe different story!
