do you guys recon it would be easier if there was no water at all? I looked at the videos and it looks like that big puddle stuffed up most of the stuffed skits...

I haven't been to these 'wet' skid pan days oran park so it's more of a question to guys who've been to both wet and dry ones...

even tho half half was causing alot of spins, any amount of water is best for beginners, though everything does happen quicker, its easier for lower powered cars to get going, and how the car reacts to weight shifting is more apparant.

I personally found it annoying.
running new 235s federals 595SS on the rear means I have to keep the foot on the floor on the dry bits or it wont stay sideways, and I have to completely lift off prior to when I hit the wet patch, due to the accelleration from the dry, lift off too late and its spin.

but in perspective for people learning to drift, theres no doubt wet is better. even if its small amounts.

pity eastern creek doesnt like drifters, they have a sprinkler system in their pan that ensures full coverage, and their figure 8 skid circuit rocks.

I reckon having a mix of wet and dry is great. It makes you think about what you are doing, what the road surface is like and what the upcoming road surface is like, and how to change your driving style mid-slide to cope with that.

i didnt mind the wet and dry coverage because as TMB said, it made me think about what i was doing and yeah its good for the na's to get sideways and then try to keep it sideways.

That was my first quick entry ever so it was more of an oh shit moment and i got off the gas

i'd actually like to see a bit more footage of the second last exercise as well if anyone has some. Because we were going through it so quick you never really got a chance to see how other people were doing it

I have video of the last 1/2 hour, mostly tmb, bhd, ronin, delux and me but i have video of just about every one.

I just cant upload it (my net sucks) but have all ready put it on the computer and can burn it for someone else to upload.
