Hey Guys,

I'm interested in sourcing some aftermarket parts from the US for my S15 200SX. What is the s15 200sx known as in the US?

I've tried searching with no avail, both on forums and Google.

Also, it seems that s14 and s15 suspension (coilovers) are interchangeable from what i gather from my search. Is this the case also with the US s14 ?

Thanks in advance.

it's known as a foreign car,as they don't have them. the US got NA KA24 powered S13's and S14's,but no S15's.

wouldn't you try the source first for parts,Japan?

no,because then it would have been called a 200sx,like they were here.

the S13's got a KA24E,the S14's got the KA24DE.

free shipping is good, provided they can beat local or japanese prices in the first place. look around a bit before comitting to buying anything from the US. they don't mind paying way too much for jdm gear for some reason.

S15s are extremely rare in US

So finding any parts from there will only be the ones that are interchangeable with S14

Suspension parts are the same.

Most motor bolt ons will be the same too, except things like cooler piping of course.

Just look locally or in Japan

Yeah but there is heaps of Sr20's in them other there now and america makes heaps of aftermarket parts for SR's and S13/14 not so much S15 but there is still a few s15's over there and a lot of s14 bits will fit...

Ifi was getting bits from the usa i would get knuckles... can you get me some knuckels??? :D

Thanks for the help guys. Looks like i ended up sourcing my parts from here in Aus!

I was after suspension mods, so i guess i would have been safe either way.

Thanks for the replies.

some people like this guy's work.

http://briancrower.com/makes/nissan/sr20det.shtml

Americans and the Japanese are the same in some ways, they do both pay too much for stuff. But if you do have the money .....

.
Suspension stuff you may as well source locally, conditions here are different to OS. It's good to ask around for peoples experience and what works locally by way of service and support.
