Good news:
I did a compression test on the weekend and I only had a 5 psi variance, the head gasket isn't blown, I was just a little bit low on water in the radiator, filled it up took it for a drive, all is well :D If my spot hasn't been taken I might even make the skid pan day. :D

Bad news:
Yesterday morning on my way to work someone pulled out of a side street blocking the road and I had to try avoid him

I would need a place to swap it out as the car will be parked on the road for the time being with one very unhappy owner of the house. If anyone has spare space at home to perform such a swap I would appreciate any help that can be offered. I am more than happy to make it worth your while.

First mod for next car should be brake and tyre upgrade

You'd be amazed what can be fixed though

I had 2 options either run into the passanger side of the car where a young girl was sitting or try turn the corner. He basically blocked the road so it was going to hurt either way.

I knew I had no chance of turning the corner as I was pretty much right upon it when he pulled out and blocked the road, but I had to try anyway to avoid hitting the passanger.

You will notice there are no skid marks before the gutter, that is because I bearly had time to avoid hitting his car and I didn't even get chance to hit the brakes before I mounted the gutter.

I plan to make a claim against his insurance as he is the sole cause of the accident. I wasn't speeding, in fact I would have been probably a few klms below as I was only a couple of hundred meters from home.

If you notice the pic of the drive way there is a curb there as it is basically a driveway for just a couple of homes.

I assume both front struts are cactus, I think the pillow tops may be ok. IC and radiator are gone. DS tower is pointing backwards a bit.

The rear wheels have been pushed back from when it hit the gutter, so not sure condition of rear struts.

The car was dropped home this morning after I left for work as no workshop would take it because of its imobile status. Still trying to formulate a battle plan. Do I swapout or part out that is the question.
