fined on 8-2-07, they sent it to me instead of putting it on my car.. my car was fooked and i couldnt move it so i parked it outside on the lawn under a tree. it doesnt block any way or nefing and the mail man still gets thru doing the mail run.. i come home today see a $77 fine for parking on the grass? the fine was "STOP park in a build area" WTF does that mean? theres at least 10 cars in my st that park on the lawn so im going to go and ask them if htey got fine. if not im gonna fken complain to the fkers. my car was covered up in a car cover so they actuially had to stop, lift up my cover and get my # plate down & put the cover back down/. they couldve at least dropped it in the mail box right away or leave it on my windscreen but instead they had to send it. WTF - C**s these days are starting to give me the fken sh*ts |

wow they must hate you i parked ALL the time on the front grass at my old place. didnt get booked once. infact i had 3 or 4 different cars there all the time. never got fined, i also used to park facing in the wrong direction outside my own house, again, never fined. |

maybe they read this forum, know who you are and what you say........ karma 
anyway, write a letter proclaiming how broken down your car was and see if you can get out of it. or just dont pay it, let them cancel your rego and licence and dont drive again. or just cop it and pay the fine |

that's what the above is. the lead up. being booked for parking on a nature strip is nothing new. fuck,people in my street get booked for parking on their driveways if the car even remotely obscures the footpath. councils love extra cash. they want all they can get. write them a POLITE letter,explaining that your car was broken down,was dropped there by a tow truck while you wait for parts to come from japan,and apologise for doing the wrong thing. you may have half a chance of getting out of the pissy little fine you've copped then. I agree with justin for me in the past when I blew the engine I just had a small letter in the front to say someone was coming to get it fixed and it will be moved asap. Its better to be polite and smart about it than losing your cool. They would just toss your letter out the window than. |
