did you clean the surfaces before you applied the epoxy? if its not real clean it wont stick properly. might be worth getting rid of the other stuff and trying again

I had the same problem.

stickerflex did the job from autoone/repco or whatever in goulburn...sets great with metal on metal.

Hmmm.... Metal on metal you say....

Tried WELDING...????

Before you go "oh its fuel tank, won't that = KABOOM" ,

drain tank,
fill with water to within roughly 50mm of weld site, will prevent any vapors from igniting,
weld (MIG coz it's easiestand will do the job perfectly),
empty,
allow to dry out (COMPLETELY!!!),
re-fill with fuel!

Done!

NOTE: Easy if you have several types of welder on hand, if not you may need to borrow one from a mate.

If possible take the tank out and the broken piece to a shop, they may do it for you. some places wont do it purely coz of the KABOOM factor.

EDIT: if too much hassle, SCOTCHWELD by 3M will do it. Sticks planes together so it must be good.

Hope this helps.
Cam.

if it's just the filler neck, you could remove and mig weld that up away from the car.

that isn't dangerous. on the car obviously is...

I did an unleaded filler conversion on my sprinter, and welded the original neck and a late model corolla's filler together. clean everything thoroughly first, and no explosions....

its too much work to take out the whole filler neck and to get it welded,
sikaflex should do the job :)
