Installing a boost controller just a quick question. When installing the t-piece should it be placed as close to turbo as possible, cause i know there is a t-piece from the pressure line from the intercooler piping that goes to factory solenoid thingo just wondering if the new t-piece should be put in closer to the turbo than this t piece or further away or it doesnt make a difference at all????
THanx again
Pete

i put mine in between the T piece and the actuator.
i used longer hoses so i can have easy access to the bleed .
so the stock solonoid is still there. it doesn make the difference as the bleed valve willl bleed by the soloniod...

make sure the tpiece is pointing toward the actuator.
if your around sydney (hills area) i can show ya how easy it is to install.

1. where is the fuel regulator that we are meant to plug into and
2. do ppl l;eave the factory solenoid plugfged in or do they unplug it like the instructions, if the second option what hoses do they unplug, i can see where on an sr20 but on his ca18 i cant work it out for sure?
Any help much appreciated

Ok guys all installed to what we believe is the right tubing, on the ca18det i have the positive pressure hose as the hose coming from the comprtessor housing above the intake piping on the compressor housing :) and obviously the wastegate actuator, the two pipes i needed for the new solenoid control. What i need to know is a couple of things?
1. Anyone know exactly what overshoot mode is on an electronic boost controller
2. How boost can be changed, all the different methods because now the electronic controller is in huwbaccas car he still has the 0.8 bar boost even though the controller is set to lowest (which i believe should be 0.5 bar), could it be previous owner messing with actual wastegate? or a leak maybe?)
3. What is the standard boost on a ca18det and how can i tell if the wastegate has been adjusted?
THanx in advance Pete

one thing yous need to remember is that you can never lower the boost below what it does on standard mode or b4 the boost controller...

ie if you put full exhaust filter and its boosting 8-9psi, there is no way you can get lower than this with any boost controller.

you can only go up from there.
if you get what i mean.
