Edit: no longer making these myself, but have put a diy kit together. see here

-------------
Made two more of these over the last few days.

Image

These two ive made a few changes to the circuit, mainly to help with the few ecu's that have problems bringing the tx line low enough (has only not worked on one car so far, fwost's s14 - fwost if you're still after one we can try this and see if it will work on your car)

edit: update on the deal with fwosts car - it worked but only with scantech/calum, not with datascan - no idea why (he has aftermarket afc so maybe something to do with that). all other cars have worked flawlessly.

$75, pickup preffered so i can show it working etc. im in the blacktown area (usually free mon/wed/weekend)

more info in this thread and previous for sale thread

note: can only be used with stock ecu (not powerfc etc) - remapped ecu should be fine

Peter

michael (fwost) picked up the yellow led one today, so ive got the green one left. traced the problem with his car being that for some reason the datascan software didnt work, but scantech nissan and calumsult seemed to work better (both freeware ones). may have been due to the piggyback ecu he has interfering somehow.

ive started on ppc software ages ago, but no time since. furthest i got was reading the ecu serial number (so at least ppc is possible) but complications arise when u get to graphics which is more primitive to graphics in pc programming

hopefully at end of this semester of uni (end june) ill be able to get back into it, but something as featured as the pc versions would take a while.

if only i had a spare few months away from everything...

probably the main thing stopping me is i dont really know how the ppc software should look - im the least artistic/creative person you could find, so if anyone has their own impression/ideas of how theyd want it to look/function, then id be able to make something quicker (and make it look better than it would otherwise)

theres other ppc software available, but at a much inflated price, given no alternatives they can charge what they want (something like 400-600$?)

but there is a PC version that shows all functions?

if you have a link to it ill have a look before i commit to anything. if you have a PPC version sometime soonish - im not being a smart ass - then ill probably buy one for sure

theres plenty of pc software available for it (ive even started my own same time as pda stuff, but other software available is better than mine)

at $25 extra u can get it with nissan datascan (25$ passed on to tomr33 from sau, guy who makes it):
http://home.iprimus.com.au/tkolo/datascan.htm

free software is nearly as good:
basic but mature: http://300zx-twinturbo.com/conzult/soft ... onzult.exe
most features: http://www.geocities.com/obdscantech200 ... Nissan.zip
another good one, most popular features and good layout (but 30mb):
http://web.utk.edu/~cjohns32/calumsult/ ... t_full.zip

some you may not be able to see what the software does without it running (eg if it cant connect it wont show u any more)

depends what you want out of a ppc app, but realistically i wont have time till uni holidays to pursue anything (more than likely just spend the few spare time i have knocking up a few interfaces)

have 1 remaining

getting some more parts this week, so will have more in a couple more after that in about 2 weeks, time permitting. ive only advertised these here so far, but might elsewhere if no one else is after one.

ive got no problems with sending by mail (just would be good if ur reasonably sure itd work, ie ensure u have stock ecu + no funny business with wiring). if theres something wrong with ur car that means it wont work, then ill give u a refund.

Would these work with ECU's with daughter board? I'm planning to get a daughter board in future but don't want to get this if it won't work in future. I'll be around Blacktown UWS tomorrow too if you want to meet up. PM me back or SMS 0403578014 if you want to meet.

Cheers,
Andy

yep itll work with a daughterboard. so long as u have the stock ecu, and it wired up to the consult port properly (no reason to think its not if u have a stock car, ie no engine conversion). conveniently only car thus far that that didnt have consult port wired up properly was my own (sold now, rb25 silvia), had to rewire it myself.

sent u an sms

Hi,

I know this might be a stupid question. Will this work on a N16 Pulsar? My car has a Unichip and the consult port still works as i have had error codes cleared by a mechanic...
