I get people trying to race me daily, Normally it's P Platers, A Lot of Skylines, Civics, Commie Utes and little hatches with chromies. The funny thing is, i often get people in Mazda MX5's push for a race. I would say though, without a doubt - every time i see a wrx, they go for it.

Most of the time i ignore them, But people are more agressive than ever on the roads, but not many decent contenders for a burst at the lights. It does seem to happen less - but i think it all depends on the time of day, the car you drive and the area you are in. When i head out west towards liverpool ..etc, it seems as though every single shitbox car and even chicks..trying to drag me at the lights, too many cops that way....one time, the guy tried to drag and nearly spun the car into mine on launch, later he asked about buying my car (it had a for sale sign on the window)...

When i had my P's i had a Mirage, I thought that was the fastest lil car in the world until one day a 911 was side by side, then blasted off..few years later, in a s15 - different story. I think most people grow out of it though.

I do - It was sold, the guy needed another 2 weeks to get the money together (i already waited 2 weeks without any deposit). The cheque he gave me did not clear. He was a 'dreamer' he had no money. Bloody timewasters!..so yes, i've been enjoying the s15 on a daily basis.

I did not think these mate it to Aus, the Clio Sports is only a 4 banger.

There are two "Renault Sport Clios" floating around.

There's the one that we get in Australia is known overseas as the RenaultSport Clio Cup 172, which has a 130kW 2.0L engine up-front. I've taken one for a test drive up the Old Road (without the dealer on board), and I can tell you now that its a great hot hatch. The car is nimble and quick, and oversteers like a hot hatch should. Pop the throttle, and the tail kicks out. Trail brake, and it tucks the nose in as the tail starts to run wide.

The Aus-delivered one looks like this:

Then, there's the one in Europe. Renault Australia never sold them, but as a grey import web site we all know that it doesn't mean there aren't any down here.

The current generation is the "RenaultSport Clio V6 255". It runs a 2.5L V6 that makes 255hp (so arond 190kW) that sits behind the front seats. Older generations had the same engine, but with less power.

Its got carbon fibre flared guards as well as a more focused interior Needless to say, the car is very quick, but with that much mass behind the front seats on a short wheelbase, it has a tendency to swap ends if you exceed its (admittedly high) limits.

It also looks a little something like this

Bugger your WRX's; now that's an agro-looking hot hatch.
