hi guys .,

well with the closing down on Oran park and Murlan having council problems it looks like
drifting in 2010 for NSW is dead and the future looks hazzy ,.

in the last couple of week and with the tragic news the several p-plater accidents and now yesterday it has been brought to the attn of AE86dc (which im a member of ) that drifting has come up again in the media for all the wrong reasons .

please take the time to read the links below and DK's blog .

http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forum ... hp?t=15072

http://www.driftkulture.com/?p=3046

we as Sydney siders need to unite and show the government that we are serious about our sport and need to figure out how we can keep doing the sport we love legally. despite what drift club we are registered with .

for all the car nuts out their who drifts or so called "hooning" on the street i say take it to your local track and keep it off the street you are not doing the car community any good .

peace

JOHN .

I saw the ad for that aca story last night.
The guy in the video is stupid enough for doing that on public roads, especially on those narrow roads that leave no room for error or for other drivers to avoid him (coming the other way). Even more stupid for filming it and having his plates flashed across the internet and the media.
Hope he gets the punishment he deserves

i think it is bretts car but with the previous owner.
im sure brett is smart enough not to do that and post it up.

but as far as i see it, drift in nsw is currently dead.

project D had to cancel all their track days on the peanut track due to cams/ec management problems. marulan is pending as they received complains from neighbours so the only track we have left is wakefield which is a far drive for everyone from syd & they dont hold regular drift days as they are more time attack orientated.

no he won't. berettas are rubbish. it's more likely to blow the slide off and smack god in the face than kill the kitten.

Justin...

p.s. Please read the dates of threads before posting in them. comments made a year later aren't likely to be relevant to the original poster any more.
