Its probably struggling to run, too.

ive driven v8 super car 6laps around eastern creek, i got it for a gift for birthday and im telling you, you havent driven a car untill you drive one of them, awsome power and handling but it is meant for track

One of the JGTC GT500 Supra lapped Queensland Raceway almost 10s faster than the V8 Supertaxi lap record, and that was on dead tyres during testing on their first time out on the track. I'm not sure if that was the V8 or I4 Supra, but regardless it is around 100hp down on the V8 Supercars.

Also, bear in mind, that the V6 race cars (FairladyZ, NSX, etc) are also as quick, if not quicker, than the Supra.

The V8 Supercars are also world reknown for being overweight and undertyred for a top tier tintop racer. They grip and handle a lot worse than SuperGT, BTCC, and DTM cars (as examples).

They're amazing compared to a street car, but then even Jeremy Clarkson will tell you that any dedicated race car is better than any street car, even if its powered by the diesel engine he loathes so much. Compared to other race cars, however, they're still rubbish.

Of course, the world's fastest four wheelers are currently V8 powered......until the next time Bernie or Max has a fit and they cut them down to V6s or something.

nice try. can you fit half a tonne of spares in it's boot,AND tow your race car behind it?

can you take it off road?

will it take 7 passengers?

does it have good economy for it's power level?

will it do 1'10" laps of wakefield in std form?

etc,etc,etc...

as I said,no ONE car can do EVERYTHING. some fill several roles in one package, but NONE can do ALL.

What about one? in std form they're a wagon with a little power. they are heavy, heavy on fuel, and are underbraked. traction is fantastic with the 4wd,they corner decently for how big and how heavy they are,can take 5 pople and a toolbox and a spare set of rims comfortably without needing the roof rails, and can tow a LIGHT race car.

mine has responded fairly well the the usual light-tune engine work, suspension and brake work. I wouldn't bother taking it up macquarie pass or down to wakefield though. it'll dispatch plenty of cars off of the lights, but wouldn't win a race with a proper fast car.
I've toasted a few rexies in the past, but was owned on the M4 by a modded R32 GTS-t not that long ago,so it has some go,but not THAT much.

a stagea has the utility and comfort options ticked, but not the handling or speed ones. mine makes a great daily driver, but it's no sports car,and never will be. anyone who tries to make a stagea seriously fast is working with one hand tied behind their back.

yeah, its quick.....for a stagea.

Kind of how the RVR has the same engine and driveline as an evo, but it still isn't an evo.

On that note: EVO9 station wagon ftw! yes they do exist....

A lot of people who like cars and generally know jack shit about them only really care about how fast they go.
V8's can be just as fraught with problems as turbo-4's... especially if they're a bit more than a dumb block of iron with a SOHC and the basic reality of V8 supercars is that they really have nothing in common with the average taxi except the badge, in so much as the average lancer has in common with a WRC car.

There's an old adage, "If it's got tits or wheels, it's going to give you problems" :D
