WOOHOO!!! :P

Last night, after more than 2 months, i finally took delivery of my 180 after the engine rebuild and coilover install.

I missed it sooo much.I can't describe the feeling of finally getting behind the wheel of what now feels like a new car. :P

For the first 150kms i couldn't boost at all and rev past 3000rpm.I got that out of the way last night and first thing this morning. Now the limit is 6000rpm but i'm a little scared to go past 3000rpm still.I'll just gradually push further.

The engine sounds so smooth compared to what it sounded like before. It hardly rattles or shakes at all. It's only going to get better too after the run in period.

I don't know if it's the new cams or i just forgot what it sounded like, but damn it is loud! It sounds so mean. 8)

As for the new coilovers...I didn't realise how bad Sydneys roads are until this morning! I can now feel everything.I suppose that's what you get from going from 14 yr old shocks to brand new Teins.

Now that my car sits lower, i don't think it really needs a bodykit anymore. Those few inches have changed the whole presence of the car. That and the bonnet now being raised on its hinges at the back. 8)

Sorry for the long post but i'm just so pleased ATM.Fingers crossed i don't have any little strange noises coming from the engine bay.

Now for the next 850 km....

Thats finally some good news on your cars front!

How did the fuel sender go?

Its always good to get back in your own car after not driving it for a while. Ive locked my car up and covered it for the long weekend so come tuesday morning it will be good to get back in it again :P

Its normal to hear funny noises that were proabably there before but now your paranoid. I Know I am always like that even if its not my car.

Fuel senders in but i still have no reading on the gauge. I'll have to chase that one up with my mechanic...

Its a sweet, sweet feeling :)

Beginning of last year, my baby was in the workshop for 7 weeks (6 weeks of which was waiting for parts and people to pull their fingers out  ). Its better than getting a new car when you get her back and she's so much more alive than you remember :)

everyone around me wasnt happy because all i could talk about was how much i wanted the car and how much more better it was going to be lol everyone copped it, everyone copped the info and the lectures, and me drving around in my van saying "i wish i had my car right now" when shitbag drivers keep overtaking me and showing me no respect on the road....
