hey guys,

done a search but i cant find what i'm after specifically.

what are the pros and cons of using tie-rod end spacers? and someone tell this newb what they exactly do?

and do aftermarket solid steering rack bushes work? are they worthwhile?

i'm looking at d-project bits in particular.

If you want more lock, then get the rack bushes (tie rod spacer). Or get modified/aftemarket tie rods.
Tie rod end spacers (if they exist) will not do anything but throw your toe settings out.

The D-Project steering rack bushes are OK, but the tie rods are junk (speaking from experience).

Stick to Tein as they aren't much more expensive and have a dust boot, whereas the D-Project ones do not.

you also don't really want to space the tierod end down unless you have some sort of roll centre adjuster in the LCA. Ideally you want the tie rod and the lca parallel to avoid bump steer.

I think his talking about the spacers that alow that the tie rods to go ferther into the rack..
